Brandi Studley is a mom, a lifetime Normanite, and an advocate for marginalized citizens. She and her partner, Detrick Norwood, have lived in Ward 1 for years.
"I've lived in Ward 1 most of my life. As a homeowner and mother of three, I chose to raise my family here because I love the diversity and neighborly compassion of our community. As your council member, I will fearlessly represent the voices of Ward 1 at City Hall."
Professionally, Brandi's background is in dental practice management, human resources, marketing, and accounting. As a team builder, she understands what it takes to build coalitions of intersecting interests.
"My passion is bringing together people of diverse backgrounds and working toward a common goal. As a community, we can build an inclusive community by listening and to those who are most affected by our decisions. As council member, that's exactly what I'll do."
Brandi has volunteered at J.D. McCarthy Center and Four Seasons Nursing Home. She and her kids founded The Social Injustice League of Norman that organizes community clean-up events and distributes meals and necessities to unhoused citizens.
"I believe firmly that what we do - or don't do - for those in need is a direct reflection of our community values. It's time to embrace our diversity and serve all citizens with compassion."
