Brandi Studley has announced she is seeking re-election for her seat as Council Member of Ward 1. She has proudly served Ward 1 and Norman as the elected Council Member since May of 2021. She is a lifetime Normanite and proud mother of three. She cares about her community and understands the value of family and lending a helping hand to your neighbors in need.
One of Council Member Studley’s first actions during the 2021 budget session was to successfully advocate for an additional $500k to help fund and fill the gaps in Norman for a mobile crisis response unit. CM Studley also voted to keep the $865k in the General Fund from the contentious 2020 budget meeting.
While on Council, she has also served on the Oversight Committee and the Community Planning & Transportation Committee, where she fought for door-to-door, ADA-accessible, same day transportation. Norman will be piloting a project to do just that thanks to CM Studley.
She has also listened to concerns of residents across Norman and has helped resolve a multitude of issues including: resolved conflicts between developers and neighborhoods, protected precious farm land from further damage by development, helped with yard erosion, helped a man on hospice receive desperately needed air conditioning, and even reached out to get crews out "after hours" to repair roads that were buckling. When her community calls she answers, shows up, and takes action.
"I've lived in Ward 1 most of my life. As a homeowner and mother of three, I chose to raise my family here because I love the diversity and neighborly compassion of our community. As your council member, I will fearlessly represent the voices of Ward 1 at City Hall."
